Pulmonary Rehabilitation

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program at University Specialty Hospital offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient treatment services, under the direction of pulmonologist Peggy Simon, M.D. The primary goal of this program is to improve the quality of life for each patient. Expert staff works with every patient and their family to develop a tailored treatment plan. The program emphasizes patients taking an active role in their health care. By learning more about their condition and options, patients are able to:

Learn more about pulmonary disease.
Develop skills to help manage daily living.
Manage or relieve symptoms.
Transition successfully into the home/community.
Access a multidisciplinary team that is trained to manage their care.

Decrease the number of their outpatient hospital visits.
